City of Newton Texas Improvement Projects
The City of Newton current project files are below.
Update: 4-26-24
Mitigation Project Water. 1. New Water Well has been complete and in operation, Water Line Improvements is under construction now and is about 20% complete. The Main Water Plant Improvements should bid in May or June. Water Tower is currently out for bid.
Mitigation Project Sewer and Drainage> 1. Manhole, WWTP and Lift Station bid should be in May . Flood and Drainage project is in planning.
Mitigation Regional : Kickoff meeting completed, Project is in Environmental Review. Project should be ready for bid in July 2024
TDA CDBG Meter Project: Bids in May
TDA CDBG Downtown Revitalization: Design Complete, all approvals should be complete in May and Bid by mid summer.
TWDB City of Newton for East Newton: Design Complete, Project Bid by mid summer.
TWDB City of Newton Bond Project: Ready for Bid mid Summer.
Other Grant type of project application have been submitted and some are in planning.
