Police Chief |

Tommy Adams was named the Police
Chief on March 1, 2007. Adams is a lifelong resident of Newton and his
father William (Punk) Adams served as the Newton County Judge from 1964
to 1973. Over the last 23 years Adams has served as a Police officer under Chief Ricky Simmons who retired in November of 2006 after serving the citizens of Newton for 27 years. Chief Adams is excited about the opportunity to serve Newton and is moving forward plans to enhance the police departments service to the community as well as seeking new grant opportunities to enhance the operation of the police department. |
